Earth Day Riparian Planting & Celebration  April 18, 2015
9am-1pm at the Former Birch Bay Bible Community Church, 7039 Jackson Rd
Come join Whatcom Conservation District, Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association and the Chums of Terrell Creek to help restore streamside habitat for salmon and celebrate the return of the Chum Salmon to Terrell Creek!!! We’ll bring the tools and gloves – just wear sturdy
shoes, long pants and weather appropriate clothing.

The Chums of Terrell Creek (Chums) were organized in 2003 to promote salmon recovery in the Terrell Creek watershed. In response to community concerns about safe shellfish harvesting and clean recreational water we have expanded our efforts to include water quality in Terrell Creek and Birch Bay. Clean water is not just an environmental concern, it’s also a health concern for everyone using water for recreation.

Explore our new website and contact us to learn more about how you can also be a good land steward and a Chum of Terrell Creek.

The Chums are excited to announce a new two year project to clean up the Terrell Creek watershed!   We now have the resources to help individual landowners become quality watershed stewards.
